Finally

My ABN number has finally been given to me. I can now start teaching. Just have to wait for the contract with the waterboard and my first student.

Lake Awoonga or Facing Island

Paid my visit up to Awoonga lake and had to talk to the Gladstone Waterboard to get permission to teach there. I have received the go ahead from them and now am waiting for my ABN number to be able to run Oceanview Diving. The visibility is not prime but it is a choice of Awoonga for the open water dives or off of Facing Island. Sometimes it is nice to have choices.

Location

Now looking for a location to teach my confined and open water classes. The problem I have come across in Gladstone is there is no pools deep enough to do the confined water. 1.7m is the deepest I have found. So this weekend I will be checking out Lake Awonga to do both. Pool like conditions and it will save the students money for the open water. Actually save them around $150 to get over to Facing Island. Will update when I check on the lake.
